Stunning sea  views from this apartment which has recently been refurbished to a high standard, including a new kitchen, bathroom and all new interior furnishings.

The apartment is  situated in the southern Costa Blanca, in the Cabo Cervera area of  the small town of La Mata (also known as Torrelamata.) A short walk downhill  marks the beginning of the vast Vela Beach which stretches for miles up the coast to the town of Guardamar.  There are supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, and many restaurants nearby as well as easy access to regular public transport.

 The property comprises of a spacious lounge/dining room open plan to the new, well-equipped kitchen area; which has a two ring ceramic hob, integrated fridge and separate integrtated freezer.  Wi-fi and British TV is availalble at extra cost.  There is a ceiling fan, stereo cd/radio player and iPod dock,  a table and four dining chairs.  The two sofas can be converted into single beds to offer further sleeping accommodation.  French windows lead to a large, furnished and glazed balcony, affording elevated views over the Mediterranean Sea and along the beautiful coastline  Sunbeds and beach chairs, parasol, cool box are supplied for a day at the beach.  A nearby pool/restaurant complex hires sunbeds daily.

The large bedroom has a superking size bed (6'6" width), and ample storage space in the built-in wardrobe, bedside tables and double chest of drawers.  French windows lead to a further furnished and glazed balcony with drying facilities. Air conditioning is available in the bedroom for an additional payment - though not essential - as a pleasant breeze blows through the entire apartment when front and back French windows are slightly open.

The fully tiled shower-room has a large walk-in shower with two showerheads, a built-in wash hand basin with ample storage, a wc and a new automatic washing machine.

Both balconies are shaded by shutters to keep the apartment cool during hot weather.

La Mata is a pleasant town with many typically Spanish restaurants to cater for all tastes for those wanting some tapas to fine dining.  It has a weekly market for those looking for bargains.    There is a restaurant resembling a Spanish galleon which was shipwrecked off the coast many years ago, and one which is modelled on a paddle steamer.  There are also English, Chinese, Irish, Asian, Argentinian and  Italian bars and  restaurants within walking distance.  For nature lovers there is a large salt lake and proteted sand dunes, as well as a large, shaded park with picnic areas and ponds.  You cn walk on coastal paths south to Torrevieja and beyond, and north to Guardamar and beyond.  A boardwalk and promenade runs the length of La Mata,

A car is advised, but not  essential for those who want a beach holiday due to the proximity o the coast.  For more extensive sightseeing, local companies run daily tours to nearby attractions.  However, to explore the beautiful Costa Blanca and visit  inland Spanish villages independently, car hire is reasonably priced.
